A first, Dudeoir, from Nolan's perspective

This is for the people, the people who are hesitant, the people how are unsure and the people who haven’t had their true self encapsulated and reflected”

Hi, my name is Nolan, have a seat, kick yea shoes off, and let me spin you a tale, but not your average tale, one of intrigue, foundation building, love, and maybe potential murder??

It all started when I got a DM on Instagram from someone commenting on my story. I had posted a story on a falling in reverse song with an audio clip, All My Women if you are curious. Anyway, it was from Sam, saying that she liked it too and we shared similar tastes in music, to a point and I was intrigued. Our interactions became an everyday thing since that moment. Now for some lore... Sam and I went to high school together, same grade, just different social circles. I knew who she was, she knew who I was we had adjacent friends but never crossed paths aside from school. Little did either of us know, the very interaction would alter our lives, forever and I’m not being sarcastic in any way.

Now, there’s a lot of things that come into play here, daily conversation, comparing different life experiences. We both have very different lives and have not seen each other in 15 years. But through our conversations, we built a foundation for where we are today.

Like a semitruck though my front door, that she was driving, she came in, took off her shoes and is not leaving, ever. Love is an interesting thing; it doesn’t matter if you’re ready. It’s not late, it arrives precisely when it means too. This is that arrival, and I can’t tell you how happy I am that it did.

But Nolan, why murder? Well, I’m so glad you asked, allow me to explain, so, within the photography world, “wet sets” are a thing. It’s when you apply baby oil to a part of the body or all of it, spray water on it so it beads, and rolls off to allow for more definition of that area, it’s super cool, if the water isn’t cold. But where’s the tie in? Another excellent question, I’m getting there.

Amongst the conversation, Sam asked if I have ever considered being one of her models because she wanted the exspireance of shoot men. I had no second thought about it, she asked about a wet set and I was like, hell yea. So, when she came to visit me, she brought everything she needed. Well, when I wasn’t looking, she brought out a plastic liner and put it on the floor. I furrowed my brow and asked is she was planning on killing me, she laughed and replied no because as we all know, plastic liners are synonymous with murder, obviously.

Now, never have I ever considered myself model material. But she did, she painted me in a light I had never seen myself in, because I was always in the dark until her. She made me feel confident, made me laugh, hyped me up and was also a complete professional ...

It was absolutely something people should try and go through. Even if you aren’t keen on doing another shoot (which is unlikely after the first one) having someone as kind, patient, empowering, enthusiastic as Sam is part of the speak to me experience, she encapsulates her brand with ever fiber of her being.

In summary, no I wasn’t murdered, yes, we fell in love, we will share a life together, and I have many shoots with her, and a life with her as well.
